Note! If goods for personal use imported into Russia are not declared, and their value and/or weight exceed the duty-free import limits, all of them, including the part that falls within the duty-free import limits, are subject to an administrative offense under Part 1 of Article 16.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, and therefore are subject to compulsory gratuitous transfer to federal ownership in case of an administrative penalty in the form of confiscation (Article 3.7, Part 1 of Article 16.2, Part 1 of Article 27.10 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation).
