The documents represent the final agreements on the support in the tourism development and in boosting the tourists’ traffic to the Republic of Altai, the Republic of Buryatia, Orenburg and Kaliningrad regions in 2024.
The Republic of Altai is a popular direction among the tourists, and this place has an impressive growth potential. Together with the Tourism Ministry of the Republic of Altai the Nordwind Airlines agreed on a future strategy for the mutually beneficial cooperation in order to increase the tourist flow with the Carrier’s flights and to launch the associated events.

The Republic of Altai is called by a good title the hot spot for the tourists from all over Russia.
This region is famous for its own unique culture, outstanding natural and architectural places of attraction.
With every year the tourist flow to the region has strengthen, for example, in 2023 the direct routes headed from the Airport "Gorno-Altaisk" to other 12 cities of Russia, while Nordwind operated two of them – flights to Saint Petersburg and Kazan. At the end of 2023, the passenger traffic at Gorno-Altaisk Airport amounted to 429,269 travelers, exceeding by 31.8% the 2022 figures.

Direct flights along the unique new route Kazan - Ulan-Ude make a huge hit for the summer season 2024 by providing the opportunity to travel in comfort to the Buryat Republic not only to the Tatarstan locals, but also to the passengers from the other numerous regions of our country. Since the carrier had established a hub at the Kazan International Airport for its connection flights, our passengers also have the access to flights from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Makhachkala, Kaliningrad and Mineralnye Vody with a convenient transfer in Kazan.
The connection by air between Ulan-Ude and Kazan facilitates the travelling, making it more accessible, convenient for the tourists and promoting cultural exchange between the two Republics.

Nordwind is expanding consistently the flight network from Orenburg Airport and plans to organize the flights to the country's major tourist destinations, including the cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Gorno-Altaisk, Kaliningrad, Makhachkala and Mineralnye Vody in the spring-summer navigation season.
The Orenburg region Government и Tourism Development Center are the stakeholders in the matter of the tourist traffic growth. The direct air connections with other cities of our huge country certainly should contribute to the domestic tourism rise and interregional cooperation. The construction of a new passenger terminal at the Orenburg Airport, which is planned to operate fully in 2026, is in progress. Scheduled flights to the Orenburg region support tourists in their ambition to get to the region and get acquainted with the atmospheric objects of our steppe region, such as: the “Salt Lakes Resort” («Solenie Ozera»), the wildlife sanctuary “Orenburgski”, the “Buzulukski Bor” National park, as well as the museums of such famous personalities as V.S. Chernomyrdin, M.L. Rostropovich, S.T. Aksakov and others. Another option is to go on a trip along the national tourist route of the Orenburg region named «Gorizonti Otkritii»/ “Horizons of Discovery,” which is the hallmark of the region. As part of the signed agreement, the Tourism Development Center of the Orenburg Region is ready for active interaction in order to popularize the tourism potential of this place.

The Kaliningrad region has become a popular location for the Russian tourists long time ago. The coordinated actions with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in the Kaliningrad Region, aimed at the promotion of the region, should be an important step in enhancing its tourist attractiveness and increasing the number of travelers too.
