Magnificent Caucasus: Nordwind launched the flights Grozny – Kazan

Starting from October, the 4th the Nordwind Airlines launched the direct air travel from the capital of Chechen Republic to Kazan.

The flights are scheduled twice a week each Tuesday and Saturday, with the comfortable Boeing 737-800 with 189 passenger seats design. Flight time for this route is 2 hours 50 minutes.

Deputy Director General of Nordwind Anton Mattis, the Tourism Minister of the Chechen Republic Baitaziev Muslim and the Director of Transport and communication Department in Republican Ministry of transport and communication Evziev Turpal witnessed the take-off of the first plane from the Grozny airport.

Flights are operated by a Boeing 737-800 with the capacity of 189 passenger seats. The flight is integrated into the Airline's route network in Kazan, has convenient connections and does demonstrate good dynamics in tickets booking. Due to the high tourism potential of the North Caucasus region and in the Tatarstan Republic, the flight route will also be truly in demand among tourists. The first flight of the new route was also solemnly greeted in the Kazan Airport. According to an old aviation tradition, after the landing the aircraft taxied under a water arch, and at the ramp there was a ceremony of cutting a symbolic ribbon as well as complimentary treats of national cuisine awaited the first flight passengers.

Sergey Ivanov, Chairman of the Tatarstan Tourism State Committee and Anton Mattis, Deputy Director General of Nordwind Airlines and Andrey Lopatin, Commercial Director of the Kazan International Airport, attended this event.
