Dangerous Goods

Currently, the Russian airports restrict transportation of fluids, gels, and sprays in the hand luggage. For purposes of these Rules, fluids include water, other beverages, soups, and syrups; cosmetic creams, lotions, and oils; perfumes; sprays; gels, including shower gels and hair gels; any aerosols, including shaving foam, other foams and perfume sprays; pastes, including toothpastes; mixes of fluids and solids; mascara; and any other similar substances.

Dangerous Goods

Passengers are permitted to carry on-board only small amounts of the items or substances listed above, provided such substances are packed into containers with volume not exceeding 100 ml and the total volume of such substances shall not exceed 1L. Such containers shall be packed into transparent plastic bags. Each passenger may have only one such bag in his/her hand luggage.

Passengers are forbidden to exceed the hand luggage limits specified in Paragraph 1, except for kid’s food required for a child during flight and medicines required during flight. (However, during the pre-flight inspection, passengers will have to confirm that they really need such items or things during flight). Any items not complying with these limits and requirements shall be left at the airport storage.

Passengers are allowed to buy beverages and perfumes in duty-free shops at airports as well as on-board of aircraft. Any fluids and gels purchased as stated above shall be packed and sealed at such duty-free shop. The packing seal is valid for 24 hours.
 

Fluids bought in duty-free shops at airports or on-board, shall be packed into sealed plastic bags which allow identification of the contents and are properly marked to confirm that such fluid was purchased in a duty-free shop at the airport or on-board, on the flight day(s).

A passenger is permitted to carry the following items with him/her (personal property): medical thermometer – one per passenger; mercury tonometer in a standard case – one per passenger; mercury barometer or manometer packed in a sealed container or sealed by the sender; one-time lighters – one per passenger; dry ice to cool perishable products – no more than 2 kg per passenger; 3% hydric dioxide – no more than 100 ml per passenger. 

It is prohibited to carry the following hazardous substances and items on board the aircraft in the registered baggage and personal property: magnetized substances, explosives and weapons; poisonous and toxic substances; volatile flammable liquids; flammable solid substances; radioactive materials; compressed and liquefied gases; oxidizing agents and organic peroxides; toxic substances; caustic and corrosive substances.

It is permitted to carry the following items and substances on board the aircraft in the registered baggage in cargo and baggage compartments with in-flight isolated access of passengers to the baggage:

The Carrier shall be entitled to take a decision on introduction of additional aircraft safety precautions at the heightened danger flights, as a result of which it shall be entitled to prohibit carriage of the following items in the aircraft compartment: bottle openers; needles for hypodermic injections (in the absence of medical justification); knitting pins; scissors with the blade length of less than 60 mm; clasp (without retention pin), travel and penknives with the blade length of less than 60 mm.
