Mr. Denis Kalscheur, CEO of ACG, stated, “There is nothing more validating, and rewarding, than repeat business and we are honored that Nordwind has once again chosen to partner with ACG to help fulfill its fleet requirements.”
Nordwind Airlines is still expecting delivery of two more A321 by the end of 2014 and will continue to add more in 2015 per its growing plans.
Currently, Nordwind has a fleet, composed of 41 aircraft – 3 Boeing 777-200 ERs, 16 Boeing 767-300 ERs, 8 Boeing 757-200 ER, 1 Airbus A320-200, 8 Airbus A321-200s and 5 Boeing 737-800s and expects to end 2014 with a consolidated fleet of 50 aircraft.
“With this eighth Airbus 321 aircraft, Nordwind will continue to expand the fleet with more frequencies and destinations for the convenience of our passengers,” said Oguz Senol YUCE, Deputy General Director, Head of Fleet, of Nordwind Airlines. “Along with two expected deliveries in 2014, we plan to operate 10 A321 in total in 2014 which will allow us to continue our capacity growth at a time when we see positive demand trends. It provides best-in-class efficiency, economics, reliability and passenger comfort that Nordwind needs for its fleet renewal initiative.”
The IATA membership followed one year after Nordwind met the requirements to be registered on the IATA Operational Safety Audit’s (IOSA) register.
Becoming a member of IATA affords an airline a host of interlining and code-share opportunities.
